I am a state board certified Special Education teacher. I’ve been teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for years, but it’s been my passion long before I became a teacher. Most of my autism classroom teaching materials are hand made, by me. It takes time, but some teachers and schools have no other choice but to make their autism resources by hand. Although, it’s easier when you love what you’re doing. I often find myself looking for ideas and printouts on teaching related websites. I hate paying money for something I have to edit to meet the needs of my students with autism.! (occasionally) I believe that teaching should be a career of sharing. By sharing, we can more effectively reach these kids.
